Build a wooden house

Construction of wooden houses is one of the oldest and most common building systems in the world, which has been discussed and approved in various building and seismic regulations. Wooden houses all over the world have approvals and requirements.

Construction of a wooden house in the Building and Housing Research Center, after reviewing and studying the existing international building codes, has developed the design and implementation requirements of this building system, so the use of this construction system in the country, provided that these requirements are met, seismic conditions.

Rising construction site, up to 3 floors is unrestricted and approved.

In wooden villas, it is necessary to follow the standards of a wooden house, and if it is not implemented properly, it is one of the most vulnerable building systems, which can cause great financial and human losses.

Comply with the requirements of a wooden house

  • Fire Alarm System
  • Fire system
  • Standard wooden villa electricity
  • Waterproofing
  • Accurate calculation of structural skeletons
  • Strength of wooden structures

All of the above will be performed in accordance in the contract with the customer if required.

In the system of wooden frame buildings, observing all the principles of building physics such as thermal, moisture, sound and airtight insulation is among its requirements, without which this building system will lose its usability and in case of incorrect implementation, one of the most vulnerable systems. It is a building that can cause great financial and human losses.

The most important point in building a wooden villa

Protecting the wooden structure from harmful environmental factors such as humidity, high heat, extreme changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to fungi, termites and other insects that feed on the wood to prevent external paints and insulation between the wood to prevent it  he does.

The most important part of wooden structures is its fire alarm system. Due to the fact that wooden structures are processed in any way, they are still flammable, so it is one of the disadvantages of this structure that it can be prevented by using fire alarm and extinguishing system to act.

The design of the structure of a wooden structure in any form that is executed must be calculated by the expert force and the load in it. You should know that the design of the structure of a wooden structure is different from other structures because the properties of wood are very different from other building materials.  Wooden houses are mostly made of wood, so it is very important what kind of wood is used to build a wooden house, and wood that is processed with chemicals has its own characteristics and resistance for wooden houses. Currently, most  Internal woods are not suitable for construction with this construction system and require imported construction wood.

Research on the occurrence of continuous earthquakes around the world and the buildings that have been exposed to this earthquake. Wooden buildings that have complied with valid international regulations have a high resistance to earthquakes and less than other structures. It has been damaged, so the construction of a wooden villa in our country requires equipment and specialized personnel in the implementation of wooden structures, which have met the standards in the implementation of wooden structures.

Pursuant to Chapter 6 of the Executive Regulations of the Law on Organizing and Supporting the Production and Supply of Housing, approved in 2009, the Building and Housing Research Center has been introduced as the only reference for approving new technologies and industrial building production methods. Use of the relevant facilities are required to obtain “technical approval” from this center.

Types of wood in the construction of wooden houses

Rush

The scientific name of this wood is Fagus orientalis, its Persian & English name is Beech.  The appearance of beech wood is indistinct and reddish cream in color.

Annual circles are compact and as a result have more or less distinct lines in the longitudinal sections. One of the most prominent features is perhaps the wooden blades in longitudinal sections, which are known as permages in the radial section and the spindle in the tangential section, and these blades are seen as red spots.

Homogeneous texture and suitable hardness of this wood is the most in demand in the market to buy furniture.

Also, due to its ability to impregnate with various protection solutions, it is the most widely used species in saturation factories. Of course, recently foreign species of beech have been imported to Iran through Azerbaijan, which, according to furniture makers and wood carpenters, does not have the quality of Iranian beech wood, but due to the appropriate dimensions and moisture of the boards, there is less waste in the production process.

Alder

There are two types of winter and summer alder in Iran. Indefinite wood, reddish cream color, wide annual circles with relatively definite and wavy borders in the cross section and red brick-shaped wooden blades in the radial section and fine spindles (blades) in the tangential section are the physical characteristics of the wood.

It is a semi-heavy to light wood that is used in the furniture industry due to the polishing and painting of cracks and good tools, but it is less durable, which of course has a significant durability in water.

It has the highest sales in the market of wood sellers after beech, but at present, the most important use of it, according to the statistics available in its laminate board factories, is also used against water in the construction of water structures.

Maple

This family has different species in Iran, including pellet maple, milk maple and cake maple. The largest and most abundant maple in Iran is applet.

This type of wood has an indistinct, creamy white wood with a more or less oyster luster. Due to the compactness of the summer wood, the annual circles are clearly defined in the transverse section, wavy patterns in the tangential section and streaked patterns in the transverse section. The spindles are visible.  Semi-heavy wood with easy polishing and low elongation has made it have a special place in the furniture and veneer industry.

Russian

The word Russian wood in the Iranian wood market is considered to be any type of white wood imported from Russia and its use does not make much difference, while this white wood itself includes completely different species such as fir, spruce and various types of pine.

This wood has no distinct inside and reddish white color, no resin ducts, straight thread, light, low swelling and shrinkage, low cracking ability when drying, very good work, good sanding, nailing and excellent screwing. But despite all the benefits, they easily get blue spot or red spot disease against fungi.

It reduces its strength.

Insects are also very interested in nesting and laying eggs in it, and it should be noted that woods with red veins are completely resistant to drying. Due to its lightness and high coefficient of elasticity, this wood is one of the best woods for building structures. Its long fibers and white paste are widely used in paper making. In Iran, this wood is often used in the furniture industry.

Acacias are divided into two categories: American and African acacias, most of which are found in the Iranian market. The inner side of the wood is red and the outside of the thin wood is pinkish white. The texture of one hand and the presence of bright and shiny primroses that shine differently by changing the direction of light are the characteristic features of this wood.

Acacio

In the radial section, it has shell ribbon patterns and in the tangential sections, it has various patterns such as wavy, curly, and truncated. It is one of the most widely used woods in the world for the production of precious veneers. Due to low shrinkage, it is less defective during drying.

Good impact resistance, excellent polishing, screwing and high nailing are the prominent features of this wood, but painting and waxing should be done with putty. It has the most consumption in preparing upholstery and furniture. It is suitable for preparing yachts and yachts due to its impact resistance and high coefficient of elasticity.

Malach

The wood is reddish brown and sometimes has green streaks. Coarse-textured wood, semi-hard and semi-heavy, relatively durable and resistant to impact and relative bending. This wood is mostly used in wooden buildings, furniture making, veneer, boat building, sports equipment, doors and windows and plywood.

Walnut

The wood is fine-textured, dark brown in color and has beautiful and relatively durable patterns.  This wood is semi-heavy and semi-hard and is resistant to pressure, bending and tension. It is mostly used in artistic and decorative works, coating, furniture making, musical instruments, rifle butt, sculpture, woodcarving and mosaics.

Plane tree

The wood is light white to reddish brown with oyster brown spots. It is a semi-hard, heavy and durable wood that is used to make the doors of holy places, tool handles, chairs, sieves, chests.

Oak

The wood is light brown to dark, coarse-textured and durable. This wood is relatively semi-hard and semi-heavy to heavy and has a high resistance to abrasion, and the best wood for parquet is the production of upholstered furniture, railway sleepers, modeling.

Tabrizi

This wood is white to light cream in color and often has black or brown spots. It is a relatively soft, light wood that is not very durable and easy to work with.  It is used for making paper, matches, boxes, agricultural implements.

Listed

The fine-textured wood is creamy white, hard and semi-heavy. This wood is resistant to impact and abrasion and is used in paper making, particle board, fiberboard, wagon making, tool handles, tunnel wood.

Nrad

The wood is white to creamy white to pinkish brown, straight and has beautiful patterns. It is a light, soft and durable wood that is easy to work with and is used in construction, shelving and packaging.

Akone

It is a light pink to light pink wood, light, soft, fine-textured and low-durability, which laminates well. It is used to make paper, light boats, etc.

Saj

It is a wood from golden brown to five full brown with black lines that is very heavy and durable.  This wood is used in shipbuilding industry, delicate industries, especially inlaying, making laboratory tools, veneering, exterior and interior parts of buildings.

Ebony

Ebony is a black tree or a relatively high density and very fragrant. The inner trunk of the wood can be seen in different colors of yellow, white, brown and black, and different types of ebony wood: black ebony, ebony marble or Andaman marble, ebony kaki. Ebony is used due to the high hardness and strength of the tree, such as furniture, tables and chairs, piano.

Black maple

It is also used to make accessories such as rulers and large decorations.

Balsa

It is the lightest commercial wood, has a lot of stiffness and formability. It is seen in white to light yellow and light brown colors. Balsa wood is used in the manufacture of delicate industrial components such as aircraft walls, replicas, and works of art.

Van

It is a wood with suitable strength and hardness and has the ability to form properly. The color of this wood is generally light yellow, which is used for making wooden parts such as frames and forms of boards, canes, tennis rackets.

Shemshad

Boxwood has a high density due to the high density of its vessels and fibers.  This wood is used in works such as inlay and inlay work.

Bulsan Pine

Bulsan pine, which belongs to the pine family and is seen in white, brown, with smooth and delicate veins, and is mainly used for pulp and box making. But the sap and gum from this tree is used as a transparent glue and it is used in different oil paints.
